Computer Science Student Conferences

Student presenting at local, national, and international conferences demonstrate the high standard of scholarship and achievement they attain at William Paterson University.

Two prominent local conferences in this category to which we normally go as a group (chartered bus) are the Moravian College Conference and the Saint Joseph's University Sigma-Xi Student Research Symposium, some to participate, some to support, and some for just the enrichment and comradeship.

Student presentations at national and other conferences are on an individual basis, products of long-term interaction between faculty and students in research projects. Support for these activities occurs at all institutional levels. In some classes such as CS 341, CS 350, CS 440, and CS 461, students have the opportunity to engage in course-based research projects whose results are presented at the above mentioned conferences. Please find out the research opportunities in our department. You may want to join one of the research groups.
