Intelligent Database Systems Research

I am currently working on a multi-paradigm system that integrates an object-oriented database system with a deductive database system in a heterogenous architecture. We focus on the query processing and query optimization issues of separating the inference process and the data retrival process by minimizing the communications between the boundaries of query language and database.
